This is a set of differentiated fall reading comprehension passages with questions for 2nd to 3rd grade.
 
Includes 5 non-fiction topics:
The Colors of Fall (leaves changing colors)
Animals In Fall
The Fall Harvest
Bats
Fire Safety
 
Each one-page passage is provided in two levels. Level 1 is slightly easier than Level 2 with shorter sentences and simpler vocabulary.
 
Both versions contain the same information and illustrations, so students won't be able to tell the difference easily. This will allow you to differentiate for your higher and lower readers or use these passages with a multi-grade class.
 
Each fall reading passage also includes a page of comprehension questions. Level 1 are multiple choice and level 2 are open response.
 
Finally, there is a set of differentiated worksheets for fall homonyms (multiple meaning words). Students read a sentence and determine the meaning of the underlined homonym. The level 1 worksheet has picture definitions, while level 2 has written answer choices.
