Kindergarten Number of the Day
These kindergarten Number of the Day activities will help your students develop number sense for numbers and quantities. They are designed especially to support kindergarten math standards and focus on counting and representing numbers 1 to 20.

This resource includes 60 number of the day worksheets plus number posters to provide visual support:

One poster for each number. Includes the numeral and number word in a bold, easy-to-read primary font. These are full-page size so you can display them for your class to see what the number of the day is.
➡️ Number of the Day Worksheets
There are 60 math worksheets in this file (3 pages for each number). These can be used in any order, stapled together in a packet, or spread out over several days. There are slight variations between the 1 to 10 and 11 to 20 worksheets.

Students draw pictures to show the correct quantity.
Worksheet B
Numbers 1 to 10 – Students write the number and number word, find the number, recognize the quantity, color the correct quantity, make tally marks, fill a tens frame, and find one more/one less.
Numbers 11 to 20 – Students write the number and number word, find the number, color the correct quantity, make tally marks, fill tens frames, find one more/one less, and draw a tens and ones model.
Worksheet C
Numbers 1 to 10 – Students trace the number, trace and write the number word, find the number, color the correct quantity, make dots, find the number on a number line, solve +1 and -1 equations, count on and add dots to a domino to make the correct quantity.
Numbers 11 to 20 – Students trace the number, trace and write the number word, find the number, find the number on a number line, solve +1 and -1 equations, count on and add to a tens frame to make the correct quantity, make dots, recognize the tens and ones model.
These kindergarten number of the day math worksheets require no preparation on your part – just print and use! The consistent format allows students to work independently and be successful. Perfect for morning work, daily math warmup, or emergency sub plans. The daily exposure to numbers in their various forms helps build foundational math skills and number sense.
