Vowel Teams and Diphthongs Task Cards

This is a set of task cards that focus on vowel teams of ai, au, ea, oa, oi, ou, and ue. They are most appropriate for building phonics skills in 2nd and 3rd grade.

Each task card requires the student to read a word containing a vowel team or diphthong which is underlined. After determining the target (underlined) sound, students choose another word that has the same sound.

Task cards can be used individually or in small group, for a game of scoot, or projected to the whole class to work on together.
